  • Large left atrial myxoma seen protruding across the mitral valve.

  • No evidence of pulmonary venous obstruction or mitral inflow obstruction from the mass by color Doppler

Large left atrial myxoma

• Atrial Myxoma
  • Large, mobile, pedunculated left atrial myxoma (represented by the star symbol) attached to the atrial septum
  • The mass prolapses through the mitral valve into the left ventricle in diastole

• Atrial Myxoma
  • Large, mobile, pedunculated left atrial myxoma (represented by the star symbol) attached to the atrial septum
  • The mass prolapses through the mitral valve into the left ventricle in diastole

• Atrial Myxoma
  • Large, mobile, pedunculated left atrial myxoma attached to the atrial septum
  • The mass prolapses through the mitral valve into the left ventricle in diastole
  • Mild obstruction secondary to the mass with mild flow turbulence across the mitral valve
  • Mild mitral regurgitation 

• Right Atrial Myxoma
  • Large right atrial myxoma (represented by the star) filling the majority of the right atrium adherant to atrial septum which prolapses across the tricuspid valve in diastole.
