  • Double Inlet Left Ventricle (left-handed ventricular topology, L-TGA)
    • Parasternal short axis sweep demonstrating the aorta to be anterior and leftward (beginning of sweep)
    • The posterior pulmonary valve appears bicommissural
    • Two AV valves seen with the left AV valve chords seen crossing VSD
    • Hypoplastic leftward subaortic outlet chamber
    • Dilated left ventricle with normal left ventricular systolic function
  • Double Inlet Left Ventricle (right-handed ventricular topology, D-TGA)
    • Parasternal short axis sweep demonstrating the aorta to be anterior and rightward (beginning of sweep)
    • The posterior pulmonary valve appears posterior and leftward
  • Double Inlet Left Ventricle (right-handed ventricular topology, D-TGA)
    • Parasternal short axis sweep demonstrating the aorta to be anterior and rightward (beginning of sweep)
    • Two AV valves are seen en face
    • Hypoplastic anterior subaortic outlet chamber
    • Moderately dilated left ventricle with normal systolic function
  • Double Inlet Left Ventricle (right-handed ventricular topology, D-TGA)
    • Parasternal short axis sweep demonstrating two AV valves en face
    • Small anterior subaortic outlet chamber fed by a VSD (denoted by the star)
    • Dilated left ventricle with normal systolic function
  • Double Inlet Left Ventricle (right-handed ventricular topology, D-TGA)
    • Parasternal short axis color compare demonstrating an anterior and rightward aorta
    • There is a posterior and leftward pulmonary artery seen bifurcating in the right and left branch pulmonary arteries
  • Double Inlet Left Ventricle (right-handed ventricular topology, D-TGA)
    • Parasternal short axis sweep demonstrating two AV valves are seen en face
    • Hypoplastic anterior and leftward subaortic outlet chamber
    • Moderately dilated left ventricle with normal systolic function
  • Double Inlet Left Ventricle (right-handed ventricular topology, normally related great arteries, aka Holmes heart)
    • Parasternal short axis sweep demonstrating normally related great arteries (beginning of sweep)
    • Two AV valves are seen
    • Moderately dilated left ventricle with normal systolic function
  • Double Inlet Left Ventricle (right-handed ventricular topology, normally related great arteries, aka Holmes heart)
    • Parasternal short axis color compare sweep demonstrating normally related great arteries
    • Two AV valves are seen
    • Hypoplastic anterior subpulmonary outlet chamber with flow turbulence across the VSD, RVOT and pulmonary valve
    • Moderately dilated systemic left ventricle with normal systolic function
