• Pulmonary Stenosis
    • Moderate PDA with continuous left to right flow into the main pulmonary artery in patient with severe pulmonary stenosis.
  • Echocardiographic Assessment: Suprasternal Notch (Branch PAs)
    • Assess the main and branch pulmonary arteries (hypoplasia, dilation)
    • Interrogate branch pulmonary arteries to assess for stenosis (color and spectral Doppler) 
    • Ductal sweep to assess for a PDA (very important if critical PS and ductal dependent pulmonary blood flow)

  • From suprasternal notch slide probe inferiorly along left side of sternum
  • Slight superior tilt of probe (tail down)
